When people ask how ShiverMedia came to be, I reply “It’s that moment in the creative process when you look at the project and just know. Like those moments in life when you just shiver at something so beautiful.” As an artist, I strive to get that feeling from every project. When I succeed, it just resonates…
ShiverMedia is that it is also inspired by the ColdPlay song “Shiver” The song resonates to my passion for creativity and new media. To my lust for things artistic and aesthetically beautiful, as well as my desire for relinquishing myself to the process.
It may sound silly, sure, but I like it. I like throwing myself head first into my love of digital art, like the songs unencumbered look at how easily one can lose themselves. And so, when I decided to start my own creative studio, ShiverMedia sounded absolutely perfect. It constantly reminds me of why I parted ways with cubicles where I am cooped up in sterile off-white walled rooms that restrict creativity.
Heath Bell
I have been a graphic artist and web designer for over ten years, with comprehensive experience in both web, print design and production. My client work spans corporate marketing departments, web development studios, e-commerce retailers and a wide variety entertainment based and entrepreneurial type businesses. My extensive portfolio includes Web Development, Motion Graphics, print advertising and digital media planning. I use such tools as Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Premiere Pro, After Effects and various open source and proprietary software and APIs.
I also have accumulated experience in project management, B2B marketing strategies, affiliate sales and eMail marketing.
From Toronto Canada, I have worked for clients through telecommuting from Toronto to Los Angeles to Costa Rica and Hawaii. Adapting to the evolution into a virtual office, I attend to my clients needs regardless of distance and without the travel expenses.
